Jaymie Gerard is a NJ-native who was (according to her mother) singing before she was speaking. She taught herself guitar at the age of 13, and by 15 she was songwriting and performing in local NJ and NYC venues including mainstays such as the Bitter End.
Over 20 years later, she has written 800+ songs that cross genres (folk, acoustic, pop, electro, soul, hip hop, rock, jazz, dance, children’s music, Americana, indie and more). Her songwriting has been compared to that of John Lennon, Sheryl Crowe, Ray LaMontagne, Jenny Lewis and Aimee Mann, yet she maintains her own voice, her own sound, and her own image.
From her basement studio, Jaymie partners with artists, singer-songwriters and producers around the world to make music.
Her most recent focus has been writing for sync licensing, and working as a lyric coach for international songwriters.
